In December of 2022, Lauren and a few girlfriends went to MVPs Sports Bar to watch the Bengals vs. Browns game. Running fashionably late and the place being completely packed, there was no place to sit. Lauren decided to go up to the bar to get the first round of drinks for her and her friends. Little did she know, she was sliding right between Brad and his roommate at the time, Shane.

From the moment Brad saw Lauren he knew he wanted to get to know her more, but was unsure on how to go about it. He had to think quick and that is when the high fives came into play. Anytime the Bengals had a good play he started to high five pretty much everyone in the bar and he made sure to include Lauren. Meanwhile, all Lauren was thinking was “who is this guy high fiving everyone?”.

The game ended with a Bengals victory, WHODEY! And Brad mustered up the courage to ask Lauren for her number. They met up for dinner that following Friday and have been inseparable ever since. Fast forward to April Fools Day of 2025- Lauren was sitting on the couch watching TV while Brad was making dinner. Brad joins her in the living room, gets down on one knee and asks Lauren to be his wife. It was the easiest YES, she had ever said!
